Why did I start writing books? That is a question many of my friends and patients ask me. I gave a talk at the Dallas Philosophers Forum concerning my thoughts on the development of the universe, life, human societies and some philosophic implications. Afterward someone asked me, when are you going to write a book?
The result was “The Self-Creating Universe”, a compilation of a life-time of thoughtful reading and discussion that resulted in a philosophical world-view.
Then my sister said why don’t you write a novel and put philosophy in it? I came up with “Fatal Philosophy“a murder mystery set in Dallas. The serial killer uses twisted philosophy to choose his victims.
My latest book is a historical novel set in ancient Greece. I have a love for history and this book includes such real-life characters as Alexander the Great, Aristotle, and Demosthenes.
It got an award for best historical fiction.
I find the time and peace and quiet to write by going to the library on the weekends. I also discuss my writing with other authors who give me helpful criticism.
My books span a wide-spectrum of genre and writing experience.
I hope you enjoy them.
